Movies Under the Stars June 3rd through July 22nd:
Hosted by, and benefiting, the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department, this family friendly event running from early June to end of July features hayrides, pre-movie concession stand serving farm-to-table goodies, and some truly awesome movies! Be sure to bring blankets and folding chairs, and most families bring sleeping bags for the kids. Free admission.

Kids Adventure Games June 3rd, 4th and 5th:
Located at Highline Lake State Park, this will be the 12th Season of the Coolest Kids Adventure Race On The Planet! Welcoming kids ages 6-14, competitors will race in trams of two on a 2.5 – 4-mile course filled with obstacles. Biking, hiking, and water sections! Compete for prizes, and the for the coveted title of Coolest Kid!
Admission: $180 for a team of two; Hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Mike The Headless Chicken Festival June 3rd and 4th:
A local favorite, this unique festival is held each year in Fruita, where locals and visitors alike gather to celebrate the life of Mike the Chicken, who lived for 18 months without a head. Featuring family games, a classic car show, local vendors, disc golf tournament, a 5k race and more, you will not want to miss this one! Lots of live music!
Admission: Free; Hours: Friday, 4:00 – 10:00 PM and Saturday, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

Kiwanis Pancake Day June 11th:
Every Summer, the Kiwanis Club of Grand Junction features a Pancake Day. Come on out to support a great local club where all ticket proceeds are used for Allocations Day, when the Kiwanis Club donates the funds to Mesa County organizations that benefit children. Past organizations have included: Special Olympics, STRIVE, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Kids Aid Backpack Program, and Habitat for Humanity. The event features an all-you-can-eat breakfast, silent auction, informational booths from local non-profits, and games for children.
Admission: $6.00; Hours: 8:00 AM – Noon.
